Tezmo Motors | Electric vehicles for emerging markets
Tezmo Motors

Tezmo Motors, Lahore, Pakistan

Electric vehicles for emerging markets.

We design and manufacture electric three-wheelers in Lahore. Our first product, the Tezmo Ricky, moves passengers and cargo across Punjab at a fraction of the cost of petrol. We also build the fleet software that operators use to run them.

What we build

A vehicle and the software to run it.

01 / Hardware

The Tezmo Ricky

An electric three-wheeler built for Pakistani roads, weather and load patterns. It charges from a standard household socket, runs a full working day on one charge, and carries up to 500 kg of passengers or cargo.

Fleet operations

Fleet operators can add our software to the vehicles they run. It shows where each one is, how much charge is left, what it earned and when it needs service. That is the difference between owning vehicles and running a fleet.

The opportunity

Electric transport is arriving late to the markets that need it most.

Electric vehicles are becoming common in wealthy countries, but few affordable options exist anywhere else. Pakistan has 250 million people and patchy public transport. Auto rickshaws are one of the primary means of getting around, and petrol keeps their running cost high.

An electric rickshaw costs far less per kilometre. That lets drivers charge passengers less and keep more, and it takes emissions off streets that badly need the relief. Punjab is our base market. Other emerging economies follow.

Cost, not ideology

Drivers switch because the arithmetic works, and it keeps working as petrol prices rise.

Built here, not imported

We manufacture locally rather than assemble kits, which is what makes the price achievable and the supply chain ours.

No new infrastructure

The Ricky charges from an ordinary home socket. Adoption does not wait on a charging network.

Our goal is to proliferate electric vehicles in emerging economies.
